Do you know that God will never complain that your disturbance is too much even if you ask Him about every single detail of your life? Think about it, isn't that what lovers do? I'm sure you'd agree that when you are in a relationship with someone who hardly shares any part of their life with you, you begin to doubt if that person truly loves you. Likewise, what difference do you think it will make if you will only let God into all the details?
Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way][AMP].
If the Bible says you should acknowledge the Lord in "all" your ways, then I want to believe that all actually means all. Don't forget that God is not asking you to do this because He just wants to make your life difficult. On the contrary, He says doing it will help smoothen your path through life because He'd clear out the obstacles. Hence, you can start a new walk with God from today, deciding that henceforth, you will acknowledge Him in all your ways. God Bless You!

No matter the technique you use in extracting the juice from bitter leaf, it can never taste like orange juice. And no matter what you do, lime juice will never taste like mango juice. Likewise, whenever you do things that you are not proud of during a provocation, don't blame it on any other person, just admit that whatever it is you did, is an unknown part of you that must be dealt with.
I'm sure you must have heard people say things like "he/she made me do it", they say or do something wrong them claim the other person provoked that unpleasant attitude out of them, but I'd like to ask, can you provoke a cat to the point where it would bark at you? Oh... I hope you see my point of view, that you can't give it if you don't have it, either good or bad.
Luke 6:45 - It’s the same with people. A person full of goodness in his heart produces good things; a person with an evil reservoir in his heart pours out evil things. The heart overflows in the words a person speaks; your words reveal what’s within your heart[VOICE].
Therefore, don't ever blame your bad behavior on anyone else, just admit that the person only revealed things hidden in your heart. Doing this will put your in a better position to effectively deal with those unpleasant behaviors so that they don't occur next time. God Bless You!

There are two classes of people working very hard; those that believe they are better than everyone else and want to prove that point by beating everyone else, while the second class are those that believe God has empowered them just like He did to everyone else, and they are working hard to show what God has done in them so others can take a cue.
1 Corinthians 15:10 - Today I am who I am because of God’s grace, and I have made sure that the grace He offered me has not been wasted. I have worked harder, longer, and smarter than all the rest; but I realize it is not me—it is God’s grace with me that has made the difference[VOICE].
Say the truth, don't you just love this kind of grace? Grace that reminds you when you are tired that you have what it takes to finish the race, grace that reminds you when confused that you are not alone. Grace that helps you not to look down on others even when you are high above them, but helps you find ways of lifting those around you.
Grace is not an enemy of hard work, actually, it seems to me that they are very good friends. So when the going gets tough and you want to ask for grace, why not to ask for grace to push to the end and surpass expectations instead of asking for grace to get the full reward even though you quitted halfway through.
Now that I know that this is how grace works, I am so sure that I want all that I'd ever be, to be by the grace of God, what about you? God Bless You!

Is there something going on in your life right now that's making you wonder where God is? This doesn't necessarily mean all is not well, it just means there is one area, maybe even two or more that is trying to take your joy away. We'll, I have an idea, and I think it would help.
When Peter toiled all night and caught nothing, where was God? You know, it didn't matter if Peter's kids were the best in school, or if he had the best marriage in town. At that point, business wasn't working like it should, and like you might have guessed, God was in Peter business, sending Jesus his way.
Jacob has been with his Uncle turned father in law for some years and the man had played him well, cheated him to the point where Jacob knew it was time to go. However, I can imagine how distressed Jacob must have felt thinking about the fact that he'd have to go start life from ground zero. Where was God in all this? Right there, using the same conditions that should have wrecked him to elevate him.
I know you are familiar with Joseph's story, so I'd ask, where was God when he was sold into slavery? Where was God when he was sent to prison? I believe the answer must be obvious now, God was with him every step of the way, making sure he arrived safe at destiny.
Isaiah 43:2 says - When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up—the flames will not consume you[TLB].
Therefore, take another look at that seemingly dysfunctional area of your life, God is right there. You might not see Him, you might not feel Him, but He is there, waiting for your corporation so He can work things out for your good. God Bless You!

Most times, when you hear one person say to another, "do you think you are better than me because you have more this or that", you will often find those statements are not true, but they reflect what the individual thinks of him/herself. When you already think there is something wrong with you, then you will interpret everything said to you from that point of view.
If you have ever been in any group, then I'm sure you must have seen ladies "beef" another lady for being too proud for no reason. You will hear them say things like, she thinks she's too beautiful, she's just so full of herself. Check it, most of those comments are just excuses for their own inferiority complex towards a lady who has a healthy self esteem. Same with guys, when they already feel inferior to another guy, they become unnecessarily aggressive towards him, always trying to prove a point even when there is none.
While we must accept that circumstances in life and our upbringing might have made us develop either a low or overrated self esteem, nothing regulates it better than checking out what God has to say about you.
When your perception of you is borne out of your understanding of who's you are, you will not only feel good about yourself, you will also freely feel good about others. Jeremiah 29:11 says - I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord . They are plans for peace and not disaster, plans to give you a future filled with hope[GW].
Therefore, forget about the "beef" industry, focus of God's thoughts concerning you, and watch you self esteem solidify. God Bless You!

If I have to tell you the honest truth, it seems Mark Zuckerberg's visit left me sad somehow. Actually, I was happy when I heard MZ was in town, and the simplicity that defined his visit also made it all make more sense. However, my happiness started to gradually evaporate as I read various comments made by my fellow youths.
Just imagine, MZ was in town, a young man who has become one of the top 10 richest people on earth before his 30th birthday. He did it not by holding any political position or government office, but by solving a problem in the society with his skill, yet all many of us could come up with from his visit are new punch lines to use on the government for the state of our economy. Can I ask you a question, when will you get to the point where you'd take responsibility for the economy of your nation?
I know most people would argue that there's nothing wrong taking a swing at the government and getting a good laugh out of it, but I'd only agree with you when these 2 verses are certified wrong; For a man’s heart determines his speech[Matthew 12:34b-TLB] and, For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he[Proverbs 23:7a-KJV].
The saddest thing I can deduce from most of the joke I read these days is that it seems like most people think the state of the economy is an excuse for the lack of pursuit of a dream. As important as good economic policies are, it is not impossible to start without them, just look for the easiest problem in the path of your passion and start solving. Just think about it, if succeeding in a tough economy is impossible, then Mr Strive Masiyiwa, the chairman of the Econet group should not be one of the richest men in Africa because he's from Zimbabwe. Please, be like Mr Strive, forget the government and solve a problem. God Bless You!

When you see a cow as the bait on a trap, what does that say about that trap? It simply means that trap is intended to catch something that is big enough to eat a cow. Basically, it's said that the size and quality of a bait is an indication of the intended catch, it won't make sense to use a worm as a bait when your intention is to catch a whale. Likewise, when the devil comes to tempt you with something big and juicy, don't you think it's because what he wants to get away from you is much much bigger?
You know, temptations will come in different shapes and sizes as we go through life, and while it might be easy to say no to some, for others, it might take almost everything you have to resist. It might not even be the "big" sins like fornication and adultery, it might just be a little lie that no one will ever find out. When tempted to cheat or cut corners in any way, remember that your biggest risk is not what you stand to lose in the sight of men if you get caught, but what you stand to lose in the sight of God even if no one ever finds out.
Let me remind you of the story of Late Prof. Dora Akunyili, remember that what brought her favour in the sight of then President Obasanjo was the fact that she returned the unspent balance of the money that was given to her to use for surgery abroad when it was discovered that the surgery was no longer needed. The president knew that if a person could do that as a civil servant, then that person can be trusted with big things, and when he needed a trusted hand, he knew who to call. Can you see the similarity between that story and that of Joseph? The best thing that could have happened to Joseph if he slept with Potiphar's wife would have been becoming the senior special assistant to Potiphar, but as cool as that sounds, compare that to being the Prime Minister. James 1:12 says - Blessed are those who endure when they are tested. When they pass the test, they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him[GW].
Therefore, no matter how juicy it looks, if you know it would require disobeying godly principles, stay away, it's a bait, a bait to steal your real reward, something much much more juicy that God has prepared for you. So when you see a big temptation, rejoice, for there is there bigger reward from God around the corner, for those who will remain faithful. May you always be found faithful in Jesus name. God Bless You!

Is God against "Fame and Fortune"? Often times you hear religious people say things like, forget about fame and fortune, go after God and He'd satisfy you. They say it in a way that sounds like, God will not give you as much fame and fortune as the devil would, but He'd help you gain satisfaction with whatever He gives. So I'd like to ask, in your opinion, who do you think can give more fame and fortune, God or the devil?
I know most people would pick God as the answer to the question I asked above, but ask many of them, prayer or blood money, which works better, then you will get another answer.
Just think about it, was Jesus not famous, and didn't He have money? How about Jacob and Joseph, were they also rich and famous? I think the life of Jacob and Joseph shows us God's intention for you and I when it concerns fame and fortune. God wants to give you more than you can imagine, but He also needs to build capacity in you so that what He gives doesn't destroy you and one of the major things He want to get ride of is idolatry.
You see, if you cherish your relationship with Bae more than God, or your job, house, anything at all, then you have done basically the same thing those who exchange God for fame or money - idolatry. Matthew 6:33 - Seek first God’s kingdom and what God wants. Then all your other needs will be met as well[NCV].
Therefore, there's nothing wrong with wanting to be rich and famous, just make sure God comes first. God is not saying you give up fame and fortune to have Him, He's saying you let Him be the one to show you how to get real fame and real fortune. God Bless You!
