Won't it be nice if life could be a bundle of ups without downs, if everything could always fall into place and our lives moving fast on the pathway to fulfillment? However, we all know it doesn't always happen that way. I believe there is no adult alive who doesn't have at least one low point. So, when these moments come, how do we deal with them as Children of God?
2 Corinthians 4:11 says - While we are alive, we are constantly handed over to death for Jesus’ sake so that the life of Jesus is also shown in our mortal nature[NCV].
Whenever you go through a bad situation, God is not caught off guard, and like He did with Jesus, He has ways of making sure what comes out from such situation becomes a testimony.
That verse above says that every death experience we have is supposed to help the life of God within us manifest itself. This means that if we avoid this death experiences, we are also avoiding the manifestation of God's supernatural power in our lives.
A woman who says she never wants to go through the pains of labour is also saying she doesn't want to have a child of her own. Hence, it's time to look at our failures and setbacks differently. Every failure or setback you have had is a mind blowing testimony waiting to happen, if only you'd let God lead the way. God Bless You!

Anchor Song: Chasing Me Down

Did you ever play the game "catcher" when you we're much younger? You now, kids actually have some funny ways of catching fun.I'm sure I won't find the game interesting now that I'm much older, but then, it was fun running after different people until you are able to catch one of them, and whoever gets caught would then become the "chaser".
So I started listening to this song by two music masters and it just reminded me of that game, backed up with the very popular Psalms 23:6 - Certainly Your faithful protection and loving provision will pursue me where I go, always, everywhere. I will always be with the Eternal, in Your house forever[VOICE].
You know, when we say "Surely good and mercy shall follow me", it seems we often have a mental picture of a passive following, but listening to this song seems to change that perception. God's goodness and mercies are not just passively following you as spectators, they are actually "chasing you down", aggressively.
Just in case you don't know, no matter the number of steps you take running away from God, it actually takes one step to come back. Why? Because all the while you were running away, God's goodness and mercies kept chasing you down. The only thing they won't do is force themselves on you, but even in the worst conditions, they'd always come close enough for you to see them.
Therefore, always remember that at every point in your life, at every moment of need, whatever the need may be, God's goodness and mercies are chasing you down to give you all you need. God Bless You!

I'm sure you'd agree that an athlete's approach towards workouts would be different from that of a person doing it just to keep fit. The commitment, the dedication, the intensity that each individual would be willing to commit can't be the same. While looking good and healthy might be good enough for one person, the athlete knows he has to push his body as much as possible, possibly to the point where he can break records.
1 Corinthians 9:25 says - You’ve all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You’re after one that’s gold eternally[MSG]. Now, if the Bible encourages us to run with the aim of winning gold, it also means we are expected to do what it takes to win Gold. The Olympics is just a few weeks away, if I start training today, do you think I stand a chance of winning the 100m gold? Almost impossible, right? Good!
The point is that even if you don't have anything pressing you are asking God for as at today, your fellowship should remain. Heaven is our ultimate goal, and since we don't know when it would time to go, the best thing is for you to live ready. Also, why wait for a need to arise before you start doing your spiritual workout to meet that need, it's better you are spiritually fit at all times. Lastly, God made you and I so that we can be His BFF(Best friend forever), so when we don't fellowship I believe He misses us. If there is one BFF I don't ever want to lose, it's God, or do you? Hence, no matter how good or not so good life is for you right, staying away from God is not an option. God Bless You!

I'm fully persuaded, that when God wants to turn around a negative situation, He doesn't just take it away, He replaces it with a mind blowing alternative. I'm saying God would not take you from -10 to 0, He would take you from -10 to something like 100, so that the joy that comes will outweigh any pain you've ever felt, and a practical example of this just happened yesterday.
Forgive me if you don't follow sports, but I'm sure this example will bless you. The finals of the American basketball league - NBA held yesterday, and the team I was supporting, Golden State Warriors lost, but I'm here to talk about the team we lost to - Cleveland Cavaliers. You see, Cleveland had never won the the NBA title, in fact, that city had not won any major sports title in about 52yrs. The star player for the Cavaliers, Lebron James had lost in 4 previous finals and was being taunted as a big player with small results. Cavaliers lost last year's final to the Warriors, and it seemed like they were on the way to another defeat initially, then all of a sudden, things turned around. The Cavaliers went from 3-1 down, to winning 4-3. No team in the history of the NBA has ever had such a come back. This 2016 NBA title won by the Cleveland Cavaliers and Lebron James seems to have swallowed up every pain from the years of defeat.
Psalm 126:1 says - When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream[ESV]. Therefore, I'd like you to know that the joy God brings out of weeping is the kind of joy that will make you forget you ever cried. That, is what God can do! God Bless You!
