Let me tell you something that might surprise you, would you believe that one of the things that creeps me out the most is the thought of being a pastor? *Covers face* Even just thinking about it creeps me out. You know there are people that have known from an early age that they would some day become a Pastor, well, I have never been one of such people.

I'm sure there would be at least one person out there wondering, if you have never thought or wanted to become a pastor, then why do you keep sending out these messages every day? The answer is found in 1 Peter 2:9 - But you are a chosen people, royal priests, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession. You were chosen to tell about the wonderful acts of God, who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light[NCV].

You see, Peter wasn't talking to just pastors or his fellow apostle when he made that statement, he was talking to believers like you and I. We all like to affirm that we are a chosen generation, God's royal priesthood, but that verse added that the purpose of all that is to tell others about God's wonderful acts.

Therefore, like I said earlier, "I'm still not a pastor", I'm actually looking forward to being a world renowned business man, but until that plan fully manifests, I'd keep telling as much people as I can about the wonderful acts of God. I just did what I can in the little way I know to make my Lord Jesus known, are you doing what you can? God Bless You!

Finally read Dr. Tony Rapu's father's day letter to his daughters, and I have to agree that it is indeed a beautiful letter, in fact I added my blush to the hundreds of thousands of third parties blushing over the letter. When I read such things, I also like to go through the comments below to get the perception of fellow readers like me, and while I was going through the comments below the letter on Bellanaija, I saw one that simply spoke about how lucky the ladies are to have such a father, and for some reason it resonated with me.
You see, I'm sure there are several other ladies that are wishing they had a father like Dr. Tony or even something close. We can't deny the fact that there are people in the world who are looking for someone to protect them from members of their own families. People who have suffered the most abuse from their own father, mother or brother. Even as adults, some are yet to recover from such experiences, the memory clinging so tight they can almost tell every detail of it.
For some weeks now, my teacher has been explaining what it means when we say God is a God of justice, which basically means He is the one that balances out the scales of life. You see, our varying life experiences may make it seem like life appears unfair to some, we are tempted to consider some lucky and other unlucky, but the truth is that at the end of the day, the God of Justice finds a way to level out the imbalance. For example, 100m and 10000 creates a balance for different kinds of people to win gold at the Olympics. Isaiah 51:3 says - So the Lord will comfort Jerusalem; he will show mercy to those who live in her ruins. He will change her deserts into a garden like Eden; he will make her empty lands like the garden of the Lord . People there will be very happy; they will give thanks and sing songs[NCV]. Hence, God is waiting to balance the scale in every area you've ever felt disadvantaged,  and the day to accepted Jesus, you became one of the lucky ones on earth. God Bless You!

Not all pretty ladies believe they are truly pretty, but when you see one who really has an idea of how pretty she is, you can tell it from a distance by her confidence and composure. I’ve met a few of such, and BB was definitely one of them. The combination of her good looks and her top notch fashion sense oils every stiff neck enough to turn when she is around, and the way she rolls around in that her lovely car just adds a little extra to her awesomeness.
It wasn’t surprising to find boys flock around girls like BB, but I must say that I was a little surprised to hear that if she liked you enough, you might get some “benefits” with her friendship. How did I know that? Well, most boys that play around take pleasure in telling others about their escapades. So, though I wasn’t close to BB, I simply labelled her as a “friends with benefits” kinda girl.
Now, it five years later, I saw BB at a Christian gathering and she hasn’t lost a tiny bit of her awesomeness. When my friend who just met her hinted he was getting interested, I didn’t know when I chocked, giving him that “you don’t know that girl” look. It was when my friend asked what was wrong with her that I realised I still had the same label from 5yrs ago on BB, a label that was based on what someone said. Even if everything I heard about BB 5yrs ago was true, what does it matter if she indeed has given her life to Christ? I noticed Jesus never asked people to change before coming to Him, it is “Christians” that tend to set minimum standards before they accept others as fellow believers. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says - When someone becomes a Christian, he becomes a brand new person inside. He is not the same anymore. A new life has begun![TLB]. In conclusion, let me quickly say that the only real character in the story above is me, every other person only exists in my head. However, I hope you can relate to this, and learn to take off the labels you have placed on people, because no matter who they were, God only sees us all as who we can be – like Jesus. God Bless You!

What if i tell you that critical elements of the ladder you need to get to that height you desire are already being formed right in front of you, would you believe me? There is a picture I saw circulating on Facebook sometime ago that is quite interesting. It is the picture of a child climbing a ladder, but it wasn’t just a normal ladder because in this case, each step of the ladder was formed with a human hand, so the child was rising based on the support given by the hands of different individuals.
I think it’s normal for people to  desire relationships with those way above them, more established people in the industry they aspire to be in, and the intensity of this desire varies in all of us. However, one thing I have come to learn, is the fact God also builds relationships around us that are designed to take us to our desired destination, the only difference is the fact that most of the times, those people God put around us don’t look like much, so many of tend to ignore them, chasing shadows instead.
In Genesis 14, when Abraham was going to rescue Lot after he had been taken into slavery, then 318 men he took to fight were slaves born in his house, most of those guys probably had no battle experience since Abraham was into farming, but these same men defeated kings. Also, the men they were often referred to as the “Mighty men of David” were men who came to him when he was hiding from Saul in the caves, those men were probably hiding from something too, but just these handful of men eventually became an army that conquered nations. Zachariah 4:10a says - "The people should not think that small beginnings are unimportant. They will be happy when they see Zerubbabel with tools, building the Temple[NCV].
Hence, don’t ever despise the relationships God has placed in your life right now, they might look like much, they might even big names, but trust me, they definitely have what it takes to move you up each step the Lord has designed for you. God Bless You!
