For me, one of the most important lessons from the book of Job is that, even if you lose everything, you can recover all and still come out ahead of those who lost nothing at all.
You know that the dictionary and the encyclopedia were made so that you can easily check the meaning and proper use of a word whenever the need arises. Likewise, God gave us the Bible as our manual for life, so that whatever happens to us, we can look inside, find a similar experience and the expected outcome.
For Job, he was the greatest man in the east - that's like saying the richest man in Africa. Like you know,when there is No.1, it also means we have No. 2, 3... But when he lost all, he must have been off the list. However, Job 42:10 says - Then, when Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his wealth and happiness! In fact, the Lord gave him twice as much as before![TLB].
Therefore, what have you lost? What is that thing you wish you never had to let go of but you had no choice? I'm here to tell you that God doesn't just want to restore you back to how it was before, but He also wants to give you double like He did for Job. So stick with Him, it's not over until you win.
