Do you agree that Jesus could have asked His disciples to go and wait individually for the promised Holy Spirit after He had ascended to heaven. But no, He told them to wait in Jerusalem together.

Even though Jesus is the Son of God, you'd notice that He regular went to the synagogue. It didn't matter if it was one of the Pharisees teaching, He went, listened and asked questions.

I was watching some guys talk about ocean diving the other day and they mentioned that one of the rules they never fail to apply while diving is called the "buddy" rule. Basically, this rule implies that each diver must be connected to a buddy, another diver within his view and all the people diving together are connected by the same cord.

Likewise, Jesus is the common cord that connects every Christian, and it is very important that you have a group of "buddies" that you are diving into the life of faith with.

While it is true that there are so many alternative channels of hearing the word without having to go to church, I really don't think any of those channels can completely replace the experience you have when you attend a good church.

Hebrews 10:25 - You should not stay away from the church meetings, as some are doing, but you should meet together and encourage each other. Do this even more as you see the day coming[NCV].

Therefore, find a church that speaks to you and be a committed "buddy". God Bless You!
