I’ve always assumed that all God did was speak the world into existence and  nothing else, but if that is to be true, then what was He doing for the rest of the day since speaking doesn’t take time. I mean, take day 5 for example when God created aquatic life, I thought all He did was just speak the fishes into existence, but I couldn’t help but wonder, how could speaking have taken the whole day? So I was moved to read that portion of the Bible again, and now I noticed something for the fist time. 

Genesis  1:20-21 - Then God said, "Let the water swarm with swimming creatures, and let birds fly through the sky over the earth." So God CREATED the large sea creatures, every type of creature that swims around in the water and every type of flying bird. God saw that they were good[God’s Word]. You see, I believe that what must have happened was, after God spoke the word, He then went further to make/create what He said. It’s more like speaking creates the possibility of that thing happening, then work brings out the manifestation of what has been said. 

Hence, is it possible that the reason you have not seen some of the things God has said into your life is the fact that “Spoken word” has not found that physical work to manifest through? I totally believe that God has deposited His genius genes into you, but those genes are not just meant for church services alone, they are even more effective in the work of your hands, your career/profession. Do you know the red sea didn’t  part until the children of Israel stepped into the water? So, are there things that appear too big to accomplish? Why not just make a move. If God has said it, your lack of movement might be what is holding it back.
