Welcome onboard the year 2017, I'm glad you could join us on this flight. This is going to be a long trip, it would take a whole 365 days, so I'd advise you make yourself at home in this new year.
One of the things I'm particular about when traveling, especially when I'm taking a long trip is comfort. I think about all I'd need to make myself comfortable throughout the journey and I try to them all ready. From clothes, to my headset, book, water, chewable, and anything else that comes to mind.
Likewise, I think it would make sense for us all to consider what would make the year comfortable for us as we go through it, and make plans to ensure we always have all we need. The challenge with this is the fact that none of us knows the terrain, no one has travelled this road before, so it's hard to figure what the needs would be.
However, Revelation 1:8 says - I am the A and the Z, the Beginning and the Ending of all things,” says God, who is the Lord, the All Powerful One who is, and was, and is coming again![TLB].
This means right now as we speak, God can see all that will happen in the year 2017, even to the last second of the year. Hence, I think all we need is God, and if we have Him on the ride with us, then our maximum comfort on this trip is guaranteed. Happy New Year. God Bless You!

Anchor Song: It's Not Over

Are you one of those who can't wait for this year to be over because you think there's nothing more that can happen? Now lemme ask you this question, how many hours do you think it took for Joseph's life to be completely changed?
Just in case you are one of those people who have mentally logged out of this year already. You might be thinking, if I could only accomplish 5% of my expectations from the beginning of the year till now, why then should I expect anything dramatic to happen at this point in the year?
However, let's just assume that Joseph's turn around happen at the end of the year, can you just imagine how drastically different that end of the year would have been for Joseph as compared to the rest of the year?
Ecclesiastes 7:8 - Endings are better than beginnings. Sticking to it is better than standing out[MSG].
Therefore, if you have logged out of this year before now, it's time to log in again. The number of days left is more than enough to make a memory that will last a lifetime. This is the best part of the year and God is not done with you yet. God Bless You!

Anchor Song: Chasing Me Down

Did you ever play the game "catcher" when you we're much younger? You now, kids actually have some funny ways of catching fun.I'm sure I won't find the game interesting now that I'm much older, but then, it was fun running after different people until you are able to catch one of them, and whoever gets caught would then become the "chaser".
So I started listening to this song by two music masters and it just reminded me of that game, backed up with the very popular Psalms 23:6 - Certainly Your faithful protection and loving provision will pursue me where I go, always, everywhere. I will always be with the Eternal, in Your house forever[VOICE].
You know, when we say "Surely good and mercy shall follow me", it seems we often have a mental picture of a passive following, but listening to this song seems to change that perception. God's goodness and mercies are not just passively following you as spectators, they are actually "chasing you down", aggressively.
Just in case you don't know, no matter the number of steps you take running away from God, it actually takes one step to come back. Why? Because all the while you were running away, God's goodness and mercies kept chasing you down. The only thing they won't do is force themselves on you, but even in the worst conditions, they'd always come close enough for you to see them.
Therefore, always remember that at every point in your life, at every moment of need, whatever the need may be, God's goodness and mercies are chasing you down to give you all you need. God Bless You!

I stumbled on PST. Brian Houston the other day speaking about "Receptivity", and amongst other things, he spoke about what makes a service powerful. According to him, even when the preacher has adequately prepared for the service, there is nothing like the hunger, the spirit of anticipation, the openness to receive that's coming from the crowd.
I guess many of us think that the amount of "power" available during a service is solely dependent on the minister, but no, every one in that service has a part to play, and includes YOU!
Haven't you noticed that every time it was mentioned that the disciples were gathered in "one accord", tremendous power broke out? So, ask yourself, for every service you attend, do you want to help increase the power made available or do want to reduce it? Each time you go hungry to a service, with high expectations of receiving from God, you are making the service better, not just for yourself, but for others who would attend the same service. Acts 2:1 - And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place[KJV]. In the words of Israel Houghton, the atmosphere of expectations is the breeding ground for miracles. For every encounter with God, go expectant!!! God Bless You!
