Is it possible for a woman to be pregnant and not know it? Yes, especially for first timers. It may sound funny, but I actually heard a woman say that it was another woman that told her she was pregnant, then she went for a test and realized it was true.
Most times, we define every of our experiences in view of something we've experienced before, so when a lady getting pregnant for the first time starts feeling funny, she might relate that feeling to malaria, or some other illness she's familiar with.
Likewise, some of us are pregnant but we don't even know it. There is a feeling brewing within, an uneasiness, a discomfort, but we assume it's just mood swings or some crisis moment.
Some have an idea they are pregnant, but still have doubts because there are no signs, but don't forget that the belly bump doesn't show from the first day of pregnancy. Also, some have a vision for something, but it's still blurry, they can't quite explain it properly. Hence, they lose faith in the vision, but in the words of Pst. Poju Oyemade, does the fact that a pregnant lady cannot tell the sex or complexion of the baby she's carrying change the fact that she's pregnant?
Genesis 28:16 - Then Jacob woke up from his sleep and exclaimed, “Certainly, the Lord is in this place, and I didn’t know it!”[GW]. Like Jacob, God is working in you right now, working behind the scene even in the worst experiences, working to make sure everything works together for your good, but do you even know it? Just in case you don't know, you are pregnant, pregnant with a future, so don't define that feeling by your past, it's something new, so ask God to help you see what He's doing. God is here with your bouncing baby future, are you ready, or not? God Bless You!
