About myself 

My name is Ajibola Balogun, Founder and CEO, Sweetspot Cakes and Pastries, a fast growing company that specializes in custom-made cakes, finger licking desserts, snacks and confectioneries for all occasions.

Business story

My Cake making story, as a young Lady started in Year 2010. I had always loved to do something and be creative with my hands. All thanks to God  and my Mother, who was also into cake making, years ago. She taught me the basics of Cake making but that was not enough, I had to take steps further in order to keep up with the art of cake making.

My passion for cake making made me surf the net, and read confectionery books day and night, and I  practiced a lot and by the grace of God, I was able to develop myself immensely. I made free cakes for families and friends whether or not there was an occasion and that was how I started getting referrals.

Balancing of work and personal life

Seriously, it’s not been easy combining all together, if I must say, but through the grace of God and  my determination to succeed, I’m an overcomer.

Motivations

My family and friends have really helped in motivating me. Most especially our wonderful clients, they’ve been so amazing, the satisfaction they get from us has been overwhelming. And lastly, Our vision and passion has kept us going.
