I don’t know if you will understand what i mean when I say that the same event can be both the fulfillment of a dream and birthing of a vision at the same time, but I you understand, because that is exactly how I feel about the song I’m sharing with you today. I remember how I felt during “The Experience 2015”, when Kim Burrell called up a young man and said they were doing a song together, I was like “Ehn! For real? And I’ve never heard of this guy?...” and even though I didn’t know their song, I couldn’t help but feel the babies kicking in my womb. Today, I’m glad i can now share the same song with you.
You see, I wasn’t always a fan of most Nigerian artist, but if there is one thing I have learnt as I continue to grow, it is the fact that most successful businesses and business men are those that find a way to solve local problems on a global scale. When Mummy Ibukun Awosika went into making office furniture in the country, most locally made furniture were either substandard or non-existent, I guess she saw it as both a challenge and an opportunity, to do something that would on international quality both would carry the label “Made in Nigeria”. Today, it’s a reality and as you can imagine, it has also created wealth. I’m sure there are several other cases that can be mentioned in this category, but I will just mention the biggest fish in the pond currently, Aliko Dangote, and leave it at that.
When you see the grass greener on the other side, don’t desire to enjoy that field, go there with the aim of learning how to make your own field as green as that and even better. Proverbs 12:11 says - Whoever works his land will have plenty to eat, but the one who chases unrealistic dreams has no sense[God’s Word]. God Bless You!
