Have you ever stopped to wonder what else Jesus does for you after you gave your life to Him? Most of us already know salvation is the process of giving your life to Christ, but how often to do think about what happens between you and Jesus after that? Does He just accept you into the family of God and then move on to look for other Children? ** Hmmm... that just made it sound like some kinda recruitment **
Think about it this way, we all know that when we make friends, there is always this unconscious tendency to focus more on the new friends we just made, such that even though we love all friends, and probably even love the older ones more, but just to get really close to the newer ones fast enough, we then pay them more attention. So, is that what Jesus also does to you, pays more attention to you when you are newly born again but begins to get more distant as you grow older?
While these thoughts were building in my mind, this verse came also came along that gives us a satisfactory answer. Hebrews 7:25 says - He is able to save completely all who come to God through him. Since he will live forever, he will always be there to remind God that he has paid for their sins with his blood[TLB]. You see, your salvation is not a time policy, but a life time insurance cover, such that you can always trust God to be there for you. Jesus doesn’t just save you from sin when you get born again, He also saves you from anything and everything you need to be saved from as you grow in Him. Unlike humans, you are not just special to Him when you are a new convert, but you are always very special to Him, all day, every, day for all eternity, and He would stop at nothing, to make sure that it is always well with you.
