JIB: Your business story, (i.e how  and why you started, story so far, the hustle and struggle etc.)
Lady K: With a background in Chemical and Polymer Engineering from Lagos State University, I always enjoyed trading. I spent many days of my childhood with my cousins helping my late grandma who was a merchant in Lagos island. I also ran a successful business for my parents when my dad took ill and was hospitalized for many months.
Money exchanging hands always excited me and so I started selling clothes, shoes and accessories for both male and female.
Eventually with the encouragement of friends,7 years ago I took on makeup artistry and it has been a very engaging journey so far.
It's been a wonderful journey from being a young mother, to being pregnant,to losing a pregnancy, from changing buses, bikes and cabs to becoming a speed racer and queuing for fuel during scarcity,it has been a worthwhile experience that I'm soo totally grateful for.

JIB: How have you balanced work with personal life and other challenges you faced and overcame?
Lady K: There really is no perfect balance between work and life. What exists is your ability to give a fair amount of attention to all the aspects that constitutes your life such that nothing suffers.
In my own case, I have a husband, 2 kids, 5 official staff and 5 domestic staff. When I have to work, the domestic staff help with all the running around necessary to make my home fully functional (school runs, home care, market runs, pet assistants)
When I have to be there for my family, my well equipped team members at work ensure that customers get the best satisfaction when rendering services in my absence. It isn't as perfect as it all sounds because managing people is tough but If we all must eat, we all must be ready to put our hands to the plough.

JIB: What/who motivated you to keep going in spite of the challenges?
Lady K: My dear friend in heaven , the late Adenike Ogungbe (aka Ewar makeovers) played a huge role in the growth of SitPretty. She never kept information from me and always lent a helping hand. Other friends like my husband, my mother, colleagues in the industry who I've become very bosom with (Love Olaleye, Funmi Olurinola, Abisoye Daniel Adesola to mention but a few) and numerous clients who have grown fond of us and our services over the years

JIB: Advice to aspiring and upcoming entrepreneurs?
Lady K: Nothing good comes without some effort in every facet of life. Be willing to pay the price of hardwork, sleepless nights, no leave-days and even being broke on the road to success as an entrepreneur.
