If only you had a way to know with certainty that every idea that comes into your heart was planted there by God, would you pursue them differently? I know one big dilemma that many of us have to deal with is deciding if what we want to do is God’s will or not, and this uncertainty in itself has a way of making us doubt our capacity. 

Think about it, if you get a direct instruction from the president, giving you the authority to go carry out an assignment, I’m sure you will agree with me that the confidence with which you will carry out that assignment would be different from when it is someone else that gives you the same assignment. 

So, while I read yesterday’s text in another translation, I saw it in a different way, Phillipians 2:13 says - It is God who produces in you the desires and actions that please him[God’s Word]. Thinking about this verse, it points out that God actually produces desires within you and I, and what even makes it more wonderful, is the fact that He doesn’t just produce those desires and leaves you to battle through it, but He also gives corresponding actions that are required to make it happen. 

Hence, it you are having doubts about God’s involvement in the desires of your heart, then you should just ask yourself, does it please God? Because the verse above says that our God inspired thoughts and actions would always please God. In my opinion, the problem is not usually with our desires, the problem lies with the way we intend to make it happen, that is where many people do things that displease God. 

Therefore, understand that the God who gave you your desires in also interested in making sure they are fulfilled, and if you will only trust His ways, I’m certain He won’t fail to blow your mind. God Bless You!
