According to Dr. Mike Murdoch, every time you see someone hurting or going through any kind of pain, it means an opportunity has just been presented to you to make a difference. Many of us were brought up with the understanding that we sow our seeds in church, so we easily see all the sacrifices we make in and around church as acts of sowing, but what about the ones you do outside of a church setting, can that still be referred to as sowing? Of course! In fact, one of those things Dr. Murdoch hinted yesterday, was the fact that the spiritual law of sowing and reaping can work in every place that the natural law works.
Now, let’s think about this together, when a farmer plants a fruit producing tree, and that tree gets to the point of fruit production, does it just produce fruits once and never again? Absolutely not! Under every condition, every tree remains fruitful for as long as it lives, it might not always produce due to variation in seasons, but when it’s season comes around, it will produce again.
Likewise, every act of kindness you do is a seed that is sown. The challenge is that many of us see the person we helped as the tree that is produced, not knowing that it is the help itself that becomes a tree always yielding fruits, so when the person doesn’t return the favor, we take offence, and block what God is doing. Galatians 6:7 says - Don't be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others — ignoring God![MSG]
Therefore, like God met with Paul on the his way somewhere and his life changed forever, understand that each time you see someone hurting, God has not just come to visit the person through you, He has also come to visit you through that person. God Bless You!
Got any question, feel free to ask.
