Just in case you still think it is sin that still makes people go to hell, then you need to think again because it is not true. Also, if your assumption is that heaven is loaded with people who have mastered how to not sin, I believe you are equally missing the point. I really don’t want you to misunderstand me on this, so permit me to explain with this analogy.

Imagine that a man owes 2million, and because if this dept he was sentenced to prison and would remain there until he finds a way to pay his dept off. However, right after the judgment was passed, a stranger walks up to the accused man and offers to pay off the dept, if the man refuses the help from that stranger, then we can say that it is not the man’s dept of 2million that made him go to prison, but his refusal to accept the free gift offered by the stranger.

Likewise, the truth is that both the people who would make heaven and those who won’t have at one point or the other committed sin, but the difference in the destination is that while some made that decision to accept that free gift of grace that came by the blood of Jesus, some other rejected it. 

Hebrews 10:14 says - It was a perfect sacrifice by a perfect person to perfect some very imperfect people. By that single offering, he did everything that needed to be done for everyone who takes part in the purifying process[MSG]. One of the reasons why I love this verse, is the fact that while it points that Jesus has made us perfect, it also shows us that there is an on-going process of purification. So, have you accepted your free gift, and if you have, are you still holding on to it? God Bless You!
