Forgiveness

A while ago while watching a broadcast of the 700 Club Nigeria, an Ethopian Tariku Fufa was featured and it struck me again how quickly love turns to hate, even with the ones we have vowed to love.

An ashmatic patient, Tariku was abandoned by his mother, maltreated by his family and sent out of his family house by his father. I couldn't help but wonder how people could be unkind to their fellow man.
Why speak at all if you only mean to bring the person down? Why hurt another person just because they are weaker, younger or even of a lower social caste?
I have heard severally that we only attract what we admire; I wonder if some people actually admired wickedness and then began to be wicked or how they even allow this vice to fester in their hearts. Most of all how difficult is it to let go of hurts and just plain forgive others' shortcomings?
HOLD ON!!!!!!
I am human too and I have struggles, especially with forgiveness. But the times I have been strong... strong enough to let go, turn the other cheek? It has always been an amazing feeling, a pride in myself which could also be humbling is the best way to describe the feeling of choosing to forgive another.
Of course, it doesn't answer all the 'Whys?' in the world. But maybe, just maybe, we should not concern ourselves so much about the world.
Yes! if as individuals, we work on ridding ourselves of every negativity (feelings, emotions, and the rest of the gang), then we could become such stellar individuals in our tiny sphere of the world. Gradually, our lights will shine and we will begin to positivity into the rest of the world
Tariku Fufa gave his life to Christ years afterwards, forgave his relatives for their bad treatment of him, reconciled with them and also led them to believe in Jesus Christ.
