Do you know that Jesus didn't have to suffer like He did and then go to the cross for Him to defeat the devil, so why did He? The book of Jude says that when angel Michael contended with the devil, he simply said, the Lord rebuke you. My point is that if Michael could contend with the devil, then Jesus didn't have to take such a beating if He didn't want to.

Isaiah 53:5 - But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]; The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed[AMP].

As we celebrate Easter, you must understand that every single punishment Jesus endured, He did because you and I needed it. Every price He paid, He paid so that you and I can live the quality of life He lived. He broke the power of sin, so that you and I can lay claim to His righteousness, and stand boldly before God.

Easter is really special, because it is the time when the purpose of Christmas was fulfilled. Therefore, I pray that this Easter will be special for you, and the most amazing thing that can happen is for you to discover and come to experience all that Jesus did in this season, just for you. People say don't seek to impress anyone, the only person you should seek to impress is yourself, but everyone want to leave a good impression on others. So with these thoughts in mind, I decided to check the dictionary for the meaning of these words, hoping to find a difference in their meaning, and the only thing I found is that while one is a verb, the other is a noun.
Now, for everyone who has ever met a new girl/guy you think you might like, tell me you didn't hope to leave a positive message of yourself with that person after leaving that meeting? I think it needs to be said, that making an impression on others is not really bad in itself, because either you like it or not, consciously or unconsciously, you will make one. However, what we need to be careful of is violating our conscience, displeasing God in order to appear acceptable in the sight of others, that kind of impression is not worth making.
1 Thessalonians 2:4 says - but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts[ESV]. Therefore, I believe God will not have a problem with the smooth talks you drop for that lady, or anyone else as long as what you are saying isn't mixed with lies. Our primary aim should be to please God, and every form on good impression that fall within the limits of pleasing God is allowed. I know the next question is, is it possible to impress someone[bae, boo, b-whatever] without telling a lie? YES!!! God Bless You!

Yes! If you have a Bae or any special someone that loves flowers, I have found a cool way to impress them. Have you considered giving that person a flower that’s his/her favorite colour? I think they will blush too. I’m sure some are wondering, what if that person’s favorite color is a weird one, especially all these colors the ladies have come up with, how do you get such flowers right? Not to worry, that’s no problem.
Can you remember that biology experiment in which flowers are dipped in ink solution? That experiment is actually true you know. So just in case you only read it in a textbook book back in secondary school, here is a chance to make up for it, there might be no marks involved, but I’m sure making Bae blush would make you feel just as good.
I’m reminding you of this experiment because of a statement my teacher made, he said “Christianity is not a struggle, it is the removal of one life and the infilling of another”, and I think this experiment describes it. Just as a white flower effortlessly changes color to the color of the ink solution it is deep into, so also do we effortless become Christ-like on the outside if we reborn on the inside. John 15:4 says - Remain in me, and I will remain in you. A branch cannot produce fruit alone but must remain in the vine. In the same way, you cannot produce fruit alone but must remain in me[NCV]. Instead of trying to look or act like a Christian, why not just dip yourself in the ink, and allow God’s nature flow out of your naturally. God Bless You!

Yesterday was my first time in mid-week class this year, and one of the questions the teacher asked towards the end of the class rocked my thoughts for a while. He asked, “even if the Holy Spirit decides to come into your heart to show/teach you things, how much space do you still have left in there to accommodate Him?
Wait! This is not one of those questions you just jump at and claim you have space for Him, I would want us to practically analyse it. Besides during your morning devotions, that is assuming that you have one, how many other times during the day do you consciously acknowledge the presence of God through His Spirit in your space? Many of us have developed routines of different activities that helps us shut out the Holy Spirit without even knowing it. Think about it, while some see the time in transit has a time to update themselves on sports or bad news, some other spend the time reading gossip columns, then you get to work/class and all your free time is spent on gist and catch ups that gives little value but drains large energy. Before you know what is happening, the day has ended, you are tired and all you want to do is just sleep.
I’m not saying you should get “super spiritual” all the time, please by all means have a good laugh, engage in productive gists and do all you need to do. However, in the midst of all this, consciously acknowledging the Holy Spirit opens the door for Him to opens your eyes to things at all times. John 14:23 says - Jesus replied, "Because I will only reveal myself to those who love me and obey me. The Father will love them too, and we will come to them and live with them[TLB]. God Bless You!
