Do you know that Jesus didn't have to suffer like He did and then go to the cross for Him to defeat the devil, so why did He? The book of Jude says that when angel Michael contended with the devil, he simply said, the Lord rebuke you. My point is that if Michael could contend with the devil, then Jesus didn't have to take such a beating if He didn't want to.

Isaiah 53:5 - But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]; The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed[AMP].

As we celebrate Easter, you must understand that every single punishment Jesus endured, He did because you and I needed it. Every price He paid, He paid so that you and I can live the quality of life He lived. He broke the power of sin, so that you and I can lay claim to His righteousness, and stand boldly before God.

Easter is really special, because it is the time when the purpose of Christmas was fulfilled. Therefore, I pray that this Easter will be special for you, and the most amazing thing that can happen is for you to discover and come to experience all that Jesus did in this season, just for you.
