I'm sure you know by now that "When Jesus says Yes, somebody can say No", and that somebody is no one else but you. I know it sounds wrong, to think that a person in his/her right mind would say "no" to Jesus, but it's very possible. In fact, I won't be surprised to find that even you, have done it a few times.
Jonah said "no" to God when he was asked to do what he didn't want to do, which is the most common, popularly called disobedience. However, there is another kind, more subtle, logically correct in some cases, it's called unbelief.
When you say no due to unbelief, it is not because you don't want what God is offering, it's often because you don't think you are qualified for such. E.g, God drops a business idea in your heart, and even before you consider what I'd take to pursue it, you consider your certificate and end up with the conclusion that you don't have what it takes. Also, God could be dropping images of a beautiful family life in your head, and how your family would be a blessing to many other families around the world, but before you allow the images to even settle, you think of how wild you've been as a young adult, then decide you are not qualified. Every time you shut down a dream because it's bigger than you think you deserve, I think you just shut God out. My teacher would often say, don't scale down your dream to fit your level, but up your faith to fit the dream.
Remember Mark 6:5 - And because of their unbelief he couldn’t do any mighty miracles among them except to place his hands on a few sick people and heal them[TLB].
Therefore, like the song above encourages, say Yes, even if the dream appears bigger than you, start with a Yes! Understand that the dream might be bigger than who you are right now, but I'm sure it is not bigger than who you were created to be. God Bless You!
