Shout out to all those who have only had one birthday celebration since they were born, which was there naming ceremony. Since I can't be dissing myself, then you should know I wasn't dissing anyone with that, and for those that have had several birthday celebrations, we thank God for you.
Think about this, good parents are aware of their responsibilities when it comes to celebrating their children, and in most cases, mothers remember their child's birthdays and make plans for that day, even if they don't mention. My dad wasn't much of a party person, neither is my Mum, but on your birthday, they both make it a duty make you feel special in their own way, even if that only means several packs of Cabin biscuits or just lots of multicolored sweets. Even your sins are easily forgiven, as less "abara"(heavy slap) will come your way that day, which is all part of the birthday treat.
If your earthly parents are mindful of you in this way, how about your heavenly Parent. When you pray, do you go to tell God about your life and all the issues like He's some old man locked up in a bush, unaware of how life is right now, or do you go to an all knowing God, who is all powerful, loves you, and has prepared what you need for every phase in life even before you realized that phase exists.
You see, prayer doesn't make God have your time, it makes you have God's time, so He can teach you. Prayers doesn't create your needs, prayer helps you receive what God has already created. Prayer does not inform God of your challenges, prayer informs you about the solutions God has prepared for such challenges before they show up. If God is an ocean, then your prayer is the bucket.
No wonder Psalms 8:4 says - What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of [earthborn] man that You care for him?[AMP] My prayer for you and I, is that God would help us be mindful of how mindful of us He is, and to come before Him knowing that He is able, willing and ready to help us, no matter the situation.
