One wise man once said that back in the days, one of the reasons why parents were specific of where their children should marry from was because of certain values. You see, back then, before globalization came and disrupted things, it was found that people who live together in a geographical area often tend to have a similar value system, and so it was easy to predict that if you wanted to have a partner with certain values, this was the place to go. It was this kind of thinking that also played out when Abraham wanted to chose a wife for Isaac, and he asked his servant to go back to his people, it wasn’t really about the tribe, it was more about the values shared by those people. 

Now, this have seriously changed, globalization has so mixed us all together that it’s possible to find two neighbours with completely different sets of values, even guys and girls who have never left the shores of this country now live with the values of a far away land.  However, this is what I’m really curious about, are there supposed to be values common to everyone who say he/she is a Christian? 

Ephesians 4:5-6 says - You have one Master, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who rules over all, works through all, and is present in all. Everything you are and think and do is permeated with Oneness[MSG]. So, if this verse is true, don’t you think tribe should not build a wall around us? 

Therefore, don’t just follow rules or doctrines, but let the values that comes with being a Christian dwell richly within you. That way, you will sure to able to live and love like Jesus, without restrictions. God Bless You!
