If your current job is not your dream job, even if it's not close to your dream job in any way, the Bible has an advice for you. Ecclesiastes 9:10 - Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might; for there is no activity or planning or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead) where you are going[AMP].
I want you to really take a good look at the Scripture above and note that the Bible didn't say "whatever your heart finds to do", it says whatever your hand finds to do. Trust me, God knows the difference. Many people are waiting to find that heart satisfying job before they begin to do their best, but that is obviously not God's perspective.
If Joseph had kept waiting for his heart satisfying job before he did his best, then that dream job would have never come. If anything would carry your name, I think that thing deserves your best, that your father in heaven might be glorified. God Bless You!

Each believer has received a gift that manifests the Spirit’s power and presence. That gift is given for the good of the whole community - 1 Corinthians 12:7[VOICE]. According to the preceding verse, each believer, which means you and I and everyone that has confessed Jesus as their lord and saviour has received a gift from God, but why everyone?
Just think about it, why would God bother to give you a gift at all if it's just going to be a decoration in your life. If the manifestation of the Spirit is meant for just ministers i.e Pastors, teacher, apostles, evangelists, etc, then why bother giving that manifestation to everybody? This suggests that while everyone might not have been called to the ministry as we know it, everyone has been called to an assignment that requires the manifestation of the Spirit.
Therefore, I believe Apostle Peter must have gone back to preach to his former colleagues in the fishing business and I believe some of them must have given their lives to Christ. So, while the manifestation of the Spirit in Peter helped him in his apostolic work, the manifestation of the spirit in his former colleagues too would have been see in their fishing business. Likewise, Matthew the tax consultant would have also gone back to minister to his colleagues, and when they received the Spirit, He must have manifested in their career.
Hence, you don't have to be a Pastor, teacher, preacher or prophet for the Spirit to manifest in you. If it was given to every man, then it means every man needs it. If you are born again, then you have the Spirit in you, but has He found an expression in you, or you just like Him dormant? God Bless You!

Information: knowledge acquired through study, experience or instruction.
Misinformation: an incorrect information.
Just think about it, the person who gets informed and the other who gets misinformed both go through a similar process, they probably felt the same way through the process, but because the knowledge gained by one is wrong, they get different results.
Have you met people who think an evil spirit is behind everything? Those who see every cat as demon possessed, when they can't find their pen, they assume someone took it to harm them, those who cannot see a cockroach or any other insect in their room without wondering who sent it, have you stopped to wonder how they became like that?
Matthew 13:25 - but while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away[ESV]. In this parable of the weeds, the enemy mentioned here is not your own enemy, but the master, God's enemy.
You see, if you interpret every event considering what the devil trying or not trying to do, then I think there is some misinformation going on somewhere, it means you've been feeding more on things that glorify the devil than things that glorify God.
All these videos and messages that circulate online from time to time analyzing demonic operations or detailing different bad experiences are not really very helpful, because when you consume such too much, you'd start interpreting your own experiences in a similar way.
If God is so mind-ful of you, then I think it makes sense for you to be equally mind-ful of Him because you become whatever your mind is full of. God Bless You!

Anchor Song: Expectation

One thing is certain, that at one point or another during your lifetime, you will have an expectation, draw a mental picture of how it will happen, and it won't happen like you planned. I'm not a pessimist, neither am I a messenger of doom, I'm just telling you reality.
I know there's someone who wants to remind me that the expectations of the righteous should not be cut short, but let's read it from the Bible. Proverbs 23:18 says - For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off[KJV].
Most times, we lose heart when things do not happen the way we anticipated, forgetting that in most cases, God's ways are not our ways. If there's one thing we need to keep in mind, it's the fact that getting closer to God doesn't mean God will always do whatever we want the way we want. Rather, it means we trust that God is at work even when things do not seem to be going the way we anticipated.
Always remember, even when your plans fall apart, God's plan remain solid, and if you will maintain your trust in Him, you will see that your expected will even be better than you expected. God Bless You!

Anchor Song: Give Us Your Heart
Artist: William McDowell

There are several thing you can possibly give to God as an offering, but the most important of them all by all standards is your heart. Hence, every time you come before God, please make sure your most important offering is in good condition.
Besides giving money, some people give time and energy to make sure that every service is a success. Just imagine that no one organizes the car park, or that there are no ushers in church. Imagine that there are no workers taking care of the children while you listen to the word. Just think about the fact that those choristers who lead you into worship take out time for rehearsals, etc.
However, you should know that all these forms of service or offering will not be worth much if you do them carrying a grudge in your heart? Matthew 5:23-24 says - Therefore, if you are bringing an offering to God and you remember that your brother is angry at you or holds a grudge against you, then leave your gift before the altar, go to your brother, repent and forgive one another, be reconciled, and then return to the altar to offer your gift to God[VOICE].
While it is impossible to eliminate friction in human relationships, please make sure all friction are settled as fast as possible. Don't allow beef to get mixed with your service, else it becomes just ordinary manual labour as my teacher would often imply.
Remember, both Cain and Abel both brought offerings before God, but one was acceptable and the other wasn't. So, ask yourself, what kind of offering are you bringing to the table, Cain's or Abel's? God Bless You!

If I were explain worship with a parable, I'd say worship is like going on a date with someone you've fallen in love with. Dates come in different ways, it could be a romantic dinner at a nice restaurant, it could also be having fun at a game park. But beyond the ambience of the location of the date, the most important thing is the communication between the two people involved. If there is none, then there's no difference between that date and a lunch break at the office.
Likewise, there's something about worship, something really special. It's not about the tempo of a song, so a song is not a worship song simply because it's slow. It' more about the communication between the worshipper and God, that is what makes the difference.
Of all the albums released thus far in the year 2016, William McDowell's "Sounds of Revival" tops the chart for me when I need to get lost in God's presence through music. You know that atmosphere you experience when the entire church is lost in worship, I feel something close to that listening to this album all by myself. As someone said, the album is much more than a collection of good music, it's an experience.
John 4:23 says - The time is coming when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, and that time is here already. You see, the Father too is actively seeking such people to worship him[NCV]. There's something that was said in the song shared above, "rain only matters to those who have seeds in the ground", God's presence only matters when there is a purpose attached to it. God Bless You!

Between a bag full good deeds and a bag full of sins and mistakes, which do you think God would prefer you genuinely surrendering to Him? Yes, it is the bag full of sins and mistakes, because that is more useful to Him. There is a natural human tendency to feel good in God’s presence when you think you have a clean slate before Him, but our true deliverance shows up when we understand that God’s thoughts towards you and I is not dependent on what we do, but on what Christ did,
Romans 8:7 says - Focusing on the self is the opposite of focusing on God. Anyone completely absorbed in self ignores God, ends up thinking more about self than God. That person ignores who God is and what he is doing[MSG]. You see, the problem with focusing on self is that what you see is what you have done, but when you focus on God, you see what God is doing, and when you see what God is doing in and through you, you can appreciate Him better because you know, that you could never produce any of those things without Him.
You see, we must understand that the good we do as children of God is not to get God to be pleased with us, because the only condition to obtaining God’s approval is the sacrifice of Jesus, which has already been paid. Therefore, your good deeds are not what you show off to God, but what you are grateful to Him for because you know that He is the one producing those deeds through you. God Bless You!
