What is a coincidence? According to the dictionary, it is "an event that might have been arranged although it was really accidental". In common terms,  this means two individuals independently make separate arrangements, but these arrangements makes the two of them cross path in an unexpected manner. This would be a good definition when God is not factored into the equation, but what happens when God is factored in?

I'd like to define a "Coincidence" as divinely orchestrated plan to cross the path of two people or events in a way so ingenious that the human mind would never have seen it coming. This definition only works when you and I agree that nothing catches God unawares, it works when we remember that God knows the end of a matter from it's very beginning.

This means that when it appears to be a coincidence that it was when David came to deliver food to his brothers on the battle field that Goliath came up to make his boastful announcement that sparked off a holy anger in David, it was all part of God's plan. It also means that though it appears a coincidence that it was when Joseph's brothers were deliberating on how to kill him that the slave traders came by, it was actually God at work, saying it was time for Joseph to catch up with destiny.

Jeremiah 29:11 - I say this because I know what I am planning for you,” says the Lord . “I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future[NCV]. This means God is never the source of any evil or pain. However, when one happens, God also sets His plan in motion such that when both plans collide, death is swallowed up in victory, I.e something extraordinary happens that swallows up the effect of negative event.

Therefore, the fact that God is consciously looking after you means that nothing unanticipated can take you out of God's will for your life, no matter what happens, never let go of God. He is intentional! God Bless You!

Just like it’s difficult to hold water without a container, experiences are also captured/stored in different items, such that seeing that item refreshes the experience within you. For me, music is one of my strongest capsule of events. Different songs takes me to different points in my life, there is a song that takes me back to the day I lost my dad, because that’s the only song my sister sang that day, and sometimes, if you sing it for too long, it’s almost like I’m back to that point. There’s a song that takes me back to Hall 1 car park, and another that takes me back to Twin LT, different locations within my University.
According to the artist, today’s song was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.
When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead, He said; Luke 8:50 - Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me and everything will be all right"[MSG], and that’s the same message I bring to you this morning. I don’t know what is going on with you, but I know God makes a way through anything and everything. My prayer for you today, is that God will do something in your life that will make it impossible for you and anyone that hears about it to doubt that miracles do happen.
