It is not what a man does that determines whether his work is sacred or secular, it is why he does it - A.W. Tozer. I saw this quote while going through a very impactful devotional on the YouVersion Bible app titled Passion: The bright light of glory by Louie Giglio, and I must confess that I thoroughly enjoyed every single bit of that devotional.
Now, just think about that quote again, if it is not what a man does but why he does what he does that determines if what he does is sacred or secular, then it means anything and everything can be either sacred or secular. It means a man can be a pastor and his pastoral assignment can be secular while another man is a businessman, yet his dealings are sacred.
It also means that the fact that you work in a bank, school, hospital, law firm, entrepreneur, whatever doesn't make what you do any less sacred when compared to your pastor if you've got your "why" right. So why do you do what you do? Why are you pursuing that particular kind of life/future?
Matthew 5:16 - Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven[AMP].
If bringing glory to the One who made you is not at the core of your "why", then you need to make it sacred sacred. God Bless You!

Just before you put finishing touches to your plans for the new year, can I just remind you that many of the most successful people in the Bible are not necessarily those that “made” plans for their lives, but those that connected with a plan God has always had, and became the executor of those plans. Just so that you can get what I mean, permit me to quickly analyse things below.
Moses: the people of Israel had become more like slaves in the land of Egypt for some time, and God had specified the number of years they were going to spend in captivity long before Moses was even born. So, it just so happened that the time Moses came into maturity coincided with the number of years set by God. Moses missed it initially though, but God’s mercies I believe, brought it back. So the plan for the “Exodus” was always there, Moses just became the man to make it happen.
Solomon: God had told David he couldn’t build the temple because he had fought too many wars, which means the plan to build a befitting house for God had always been there. So when Solomon became king, he picked that up and decided to execute. Maybe because of the many enemies he had, when God gave him a blank cheque, Solomon asked God for wisdom, but I guess God was looking for who to invest in at that time, so He also gave him wealth.
Jesus: Do I need to remind you that the salvation plan wasn’t something Jesus came up with when He got into the world, but something that had been planned even before the foundation of the world. Acts 17:26 says - He created all the people of the world from one man, Adam, and scattered the nations across the face of the earth. He decided beforehand which should rise and fall, and when. He determined their boundaries[TLB].
Therefore, I hope you know it is impossible for God to be unaware of everything happening in the world at this time, hence He must also have made some plans. So, I hope somewhere in your plan, is a plan to be the executor of those things God has planned for this season. Nothing, can be greater. God Bless You!
