The best way to help a person who has been in a completely dark room is not to flood the person's eyes with a very bright light, doing that might even harm the person's eyes. It's better to start with a low intensity source of light, then bring in more light as the person's eyes gradually adjust to the brightness.

Likewise, it important we give people the allowance to grow we they give their lives to Christ. As the light of the world, it seems some of us, Christians, just want to go into the darkness and flood eyes of unbelievers with our very bright light.

A baby is born a complete human being, but needs time to learn and practice how to stand erect and walk. Also, when a person gives his/her life to Christ, God immediately turns them from sinners into saints, but we should remember they need time to learn and work out their new life as saints of God.

2 Peter 3:18 - But grow in spiritual strength and become better acquainted with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be all glory and splendid honor, both now and forevermore[TLB].

Therefore, consciously help everyone around you grow. Look out for areas they are doing well and commend them, especially young converts. If a person gets one thing right out of ten, never forget to encourage that one. Find the light in every man, no matter how little, and fan it till it becomes a big fire. God Bless You!
