Wilderness - a state of disfavor, a wild and uninhabited area left in it's natural conditions. Does the definition above somehow describe where you are at the moment? As much as it might be a hard pill to swallow, let me show you that it's very possible you are not in the wrong place.

Matthew 4:1 - Then Jesus was LED by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted there by the devil[NLT].
Wait, it doesn't seem to make much sense, how can the Holy Spirit LEAD Jesus to a place like that? Most times, we expect God to lead us from one good place to something better, even the Bible says we move from one level of glory to another, so how does the wilderness now fit into the equation?

Firstly, it's important to note that God cannot lie, neither will He ever go back on His word. Hence, if God ever makes our path pass through the wilderness, then it means that is the best way to get us into that something better that is ahead of us in order to obtain maximum benefits from it.

For Jesus, the wilderness was the place of preparation for His ministry, where He prepared for the experience that completely redefined humanity. Likewise, Moses also spent some time in the wilderness, but not after he had enjoyed the luxury of being a prince in Egypt. King David too, before he became the great and beloved King, had to hide in the wilderness, first for the threat to his life, then to build capacity for the dominion ahead.

I don't know where you are, and I don't know how you got there, but I know God has a training school in every wilderness that even the devil is unaware of, one that propels from the wilderness into a place of great glory. Therefore, your current experience might not be "Bae" i.e feel good, but remember Jesus also came out of the wilderness very hungry. So keep your eyes on Jesus, He's been there, He'd lead you to a place better than you ever imagined. God Bless You!
