How many times did Jesus do a miracle that had to do with providing money? I can only remember that one time where Peter was asked if Jesus pays tax, and Jesus then told Peter to go catch a fish, open it's mouth and he'd find money there, sufficient money to cover for their taxes. However, can we say this was the only time someone in the Bible was in dire need of money?
I'm reminded of the story of the wife of one of the sons of the prophet who came to Prophet Elisha, telling him that her husband is dead, and the creditors would be coming to take away her two sons since she couldn't pay the debt they owed.
If you ask me, I think this woman's condition can be classified as critical, so if the Prophet could, he should have just prayed down money so that this woman would settle her debt and move on with her life. But no, the prophet didn't do that. Instead, he asked what she had in her house, then released grace into her life through a business idea that would not only pay off her debt, but also open up a stream of income so she won't have to borrow again.
When we read that God blessed people in the Bible, but we hardly see instances of God dropping loads of money into their life. Deuteronomy 8:18 says - Remember the Lord your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful, in order to fulfill the covenant he confirmed to your ancestors with an oath[NLT].
Yes, it is true God can use your uncle, aunty or anyone else to send you an alert, but there's another kind of alert that He can send to your directly without a middle man, it's called insights, concepts and ideas.
Just imagine what could have happened if the woman didn't obey the prophet's instructions because what he said didn't seem like the money she needed. Likewise, what if those ideas flooding your thoughts are the answers to all your prayers for God's blessings? God Bless You!
