Hey beautiful people!
I hope you all had a fabulous week, this past week. I had me some great days and I’m grateful that we all, you and I, are alive and well this beautiful Friday afternoon.
Today on JIB FAB Friday, I am sharing pictures of two beautiful young ladies who rocked the pleated skirts. In the past, the pleated skirt was termed ‘old fashioned’ and every bit unfashionable; but that’s not the story nowadays.
Many fashionistas and stylist daily find ways to spice up their seemly ‘drab’ look that the pleated skirt would ordinary give to make a sharp fashion statement.
In the post today, we present the stylish way to rock either a short or long pleated skirt. I hope this inspires you and gets you thinking up ideas on what to do with your own pleated skirts.
Salut!
First up is my girl Moji Abatan who has become a regular face on the FAB Friday posts because this baby right here is STYLIIIISSSSSHHHH!!!!!
In this look, she rocks a polka-dot pleated skirt by ATMOSPHERE; I love how she has the skirt high up above her waist line so it twirls softly around her ankles.
Her black body-con top is an off-shoulder classy top by NEW LOOK. Her black sandals by LOUIS VITTON had gold bars on the straps which she nicely matched with her gold clutch purse and choker neck-piece.
This look is fabulous and I really think it was a stylish way to bring the beauty of pleated skirts to life.
Next up is Ms Kolawole who looks are bright and lovely in blue; did I mention that I totally love blue?
Well I just did! *grins*
The lovely ensemble has a blue lacy turtle neck top with white roses, those great sandals and the lovely blue bag which was toned down by the short black pleated skirt. This look definitely caught my eyes and earned a spot on FAB Friday because it’s a deceptively casual combination that does speak of an innate fashion and/or style.
If you noticed, there were no designers named because I wanted to maintain the purpose of the FAB Friday posts which is to ensure that no one feels they can’t be stylish unless they have clothes made by popular designers.
LIE!
So while Moji’s clothing designers were mentioned to lead stylish people who can afford to get one or more of the pieces she had on, I thought it wise to strike a balance by withholding those of my home-girl Tosin.
Having said that, I hope you enjoyed this edition of JIB FAB FRIDAY! Please leave your comments so I may know which of the looks is your favourite.
Do have a fabulous Independence Day Weekend!
Kisses
