As it occurred to you that for everyone who has ever been stuck in the wilderness for whatever reason, God didn't have to get them out before He could help them, He brought the help to them right in the wilderness.
Just think about it, when Hagar had to run away from Abraham's house due to maltreatment from Sarah and she got stuck in the wilderness, I'm sure you know God appeared to her and opened her eyes to see a well of water right in the wilderness, more than enough water for both her and her son. Also, when Elijah prophesied that there would be no rain, can you remember that God told Him where to go and hide himself, and over a period of time, Elijah got fed by a raven. Then consider the children of Israel, even when they had to through the wilderness, with no visible source or supply channel, God daily fed them, giving them more than enough feed on a daily basis. No wonder Psalms 46:1 says - God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble[ESV].
You see, the verse above shows that whenever there is some form of trouble and you ask; where is God, God is there by you shouting "PRESENT!!!". God is not just interested in doing damage control, or waiting to help clean up the mess when the battle is over. He is willing to get in the ring with you make sure you are not even damaged, to make sure you are refined by the fire and not burnt.
Therefore, it doesn't matter if people say the economy is going through a recession (wilderness), those that know their God, shall be strong and do exploits! Gos Bless You!
