The first half of the year will be over in no time, and I don't know what your score card for this first half looks like, but whatever it might seem like right now, I hope you know that nothing changes the fact that you will be the one winning by the end of the year?
Let me cast your mind back to Nigeria's most successful international soccer tournament, Atlanta 96 Olympics. It was a miracle in itself for Nigeria to have gotten to the quarter finals and won, but it seemed it was over after that because we had to meet the world soccer powers for the semis and then the finals itself. If anyone had told you that Nigeria would defeat Brazil and Argentina in the same tournament ,would you have believed? But here we are 20yrs after, with great stories of how we came from behind to defeat both countries and eventually win the gold medal.
Isaiah 54:4 says - "Fear not, for you will not be ashamed; be not confounded, for you will not be disgraced; for you will forget the shame of your youth, and the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more[ESV]. Therefore, even if the you've not achieved as much as you had imagined at the beginning of the year, and then you can see even tougher challenges ahead, don't fret, just trust God. He says you will not be ashamed nor disgraced, and when He's done with you, you will remember that feeling of underachievement no more. God Bless You!
