I have to say it's not always fun waiting for a miracle, waiting for God to show up. Sometimes you just want God to show up right now, but things doesn't seem to be working out that way just yet. To me, it seems like I've been ready to receive since forever but it's God that is not ready to release what He has in hand, and that is the mindset I have had to change over time. 

Isaiah 39:18 says -  Yet the Lord still waits for you to come to him so he can show you his love; he will conquer you to bless you, just as he said. For the Lord is faithful to his promises. Blessed are all those who wait for him to help them[TLB]. You see, much much more than you are willing to receive, God is even more willing to give, but then, like the verse above says, God needs to first conquer you in order for you to be able to carry the blessing effectively. 

From movies, I learnt something called "breaking a horse". It is basically training a horse to allowz a person ride on it and give instructions to it. Here's something you should know about this process: "When a horse reaches the age of two years, he is ready to be broken to a rider. One of the most important things to remember when working with a two-year old is to keep calm. From this point on through the breaking experience, the young horse is exposed to new sights, sounds, feelings and expectations. This time is crucial because it decides whether a horse will be an excellent or poor mount", this breaking experience is what comes to mind when I hear "God is waiting to conquer you to bless you". God won't take you where you don't  want to go, and He also know it's not everywhere you want to go that is good for you, so He waits till you are ready to go with Him. Therefore, when expectations are delayed, it's not Him that needs to hurry, it's you and I that needs to make some important adjustments. God Bless You!
