“Keep going. Every step is proof you can do it. It’s not the steps we take but the ones we don’t that makes us a quitter” – Tedashii.com
I fell in love with this quote as soon as I saw it, something about it just kinda stayed with me, but then, as I read it again something within me raised an objection. What if you make a move and that move turns out to be a disaster? So, to this voice in my head, this quote can not be an absolute truth because a wrong move can be the reason for a person’s failure. However, as I continued chewing over these words, I realised that the quote didn’t say an individual will not have moments of failure, but if you stop trying because of a moment of failure you have had, then it is the absence of that next step that results in the failure. What determines if failure is either a speed breaker or a destination is the presence or absence of the “next step”.
Proverbs 24:16 says - No matter how many times you trip them up, God-loyal people don't stay down long; Soon they're up on their feet, while the wicked end up flat on their faces[MSG]. While you ponder over these things, I just want you to imagine what would have happened if Peter and his colleagues were too demoralized to follow the words of Jesus when it told them go back and fish in the same waters they had spent all night fishing without a single catch? What if the guys in charge of the wine at the wedding in Cana thought the instruction to fill the jars with water was too ridiculous and never did it? What if your next move is all that is required to turn all the failures you’ve had into testimonies? That same Jesus is here right now to help you get  up in every area you’ve been down. God Bless You!
