How many times have you heard that the children of business billionaires were involved in a crime like armed robbery? Even, if you here such, how would it sound in your ears? Bizarre, right? I remember the days of “crime fighters”, almost every one of the people caught in crime always had a touching story to tell of how difficult life was, and I believe you might heard stories of people who were just about to go into crime when an opportunity came to them. Therefore, I think it’s safe to say that many people engage in crime to meet needs that seem beyond there reach, and they can’t find a legitimate means to satisfy.
Now, I’m not trying to justify crime in any way, my aim is to actually provide an alternative. What if every one had a fair opportunity to legitimately be whoever it is they want to be, pursue whatever dream they want, and attain whatever height they desire, don’t you think the world be definitely be a better place? I think it will, and can I just add, that that is what Jesus came to offer every one who accepts Him.
1 Chronicles 4:9-10 makes a brief mention of a man named Jabez, meaning “he makes sorrowful”, and the fact that we was born in sorrow, but when he called on God, God turned his life around for good. Another good example would be the man named Obed-Edom in 2 Samuel 6, what here was that some people had gotten killed because the ark of God wasn’t handled properly, and since no one else wanted to die, they decided to move the ark to the house of a man who’s life didn’t mean much, so that it wouldn’t really matter if he died. However, they discovered that without 3 months, this man’s life was completely changed because of the presence of that ark[i.e the presence of God].
Therefore, I want you to tell every, starting with yourself, that every change of status or level you need can be legitimately gotten in God. As long as God has done it before, then hold on to Hebrews 13:8 - For Jesus doesn't change — yesterday, today, tomorrow, he's always totally himself[MSG]. God Bless You!
