When God created the universe, He took a look at everything and He said it was good. When man fell and sin came into the world, the earth was also affected by the curse. Now that Jesus has redeemed us from the curse, who's job do you think it is to redeem the world, i.e our environment from the effect of the curse?

I strongly believe that there is more to getting saved than making heaven. Before we make heaven, I think we have a responsibility to remake our environment to what God intended it to be. While many of us are looking for the best way to maximize our salvation for ourselves, God is looking the best way to maximize that salvation for the benefit of the world.

Have you ever wondered, when there was going to be famine in the time of Joseph, why didn't God show the dream to His own children, then make Pharaoh so hungry he'd have no choice but to go beg in Israel. For me, I think God showed Pharaoh because He knew his government had the capacity to preserve food on a large scale, and Joseph, the right man for the job was near him.

Proverbs 29:2 - With good men in authority, the people rejoice; but with the wicked in power, they groan[TLB].
Don't limit your understanding of this verse to just political positions, I believe it includes every group, big or small, where people need to work together.

Salvation is a thing of the heart, true, but when the people around you eat the fruit it produces in your character, what would they say? God Bless You!

Just imagine a perfect world such that you are the only person left who needs to get better, what would you change about your current self? Whatever it is, I think it's time to make that change.

I know it can be really discouraging trying to do right when everyone else around seems to care only about self, but if God has places within you a desire to do or live in a certain way that is not common practice, don't let the environment discourage you. To start with, remember each man will personally give an account of their lives before God, do you think any excuse will be good enough to justify not doing what He asked you to do?

I think the world is what it is right now because everyone is waiting on the other person to do right before they do. Be the change you want to see around you in this new year. If Lot and his family had given up on their godly values because of their environment, then they would have also perished with their environment.

Galatians 6:7-8 - Don’t be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God!—harvests a crop of weeds. All he’ll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God’s Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life[MSG].

We can deduce from these verses that one way to always experience goodness and mercies when others say it's a wicked world is to always sow goodness and mercies in our dealings with people, even when they don't deserve it. So don't just give people what they deserve, give them what you'd like to get back. God Bless You!

If the efficiency of Jesus could be limited by the kind of people around Him, please tell me where you got your immunity from negative associations from? Mark 6:5 says - And because of their unbelief he couldn’t do any mighty miracles among them except to place his hands on a few sick people and heal them[TLB]. The fact that Jesus healed "a few sick people" shows He wanted to heal people, but the crowd had too much unbelief.
As you grow older, one of those things you will need to take more seriously is your association, your #SQUAD. The truth is, everyone changes with time, including you, so you should not always expect the people in your life to remain in alignment. While you were a student and the ultimate goal was graduating with an excellent grade, you might have been best friends with someone who shares a similar vision, but now that you are both making some money, that person might start to display some values that are dangerous to you.
Think about it, Jesus had 12 disciples and I believe He loved them all, but didn't He take everyone to the Mount of Transfiguration, even at Gethsemane, He took Peter, James and John with Him to pray. Also, you might had a #GANG built around partying, drinking and the likes, but you can't remain active in that group if you ever want to stop doing those things.
Therefore, while you love everybody in and around your life, learn to determine the level of their influence. If you are always getting negative vibes from someone, please rearrange the relationship. If there is a close pal that's always making fun of your vision, even if it's a joke, you better shift. Some of the most hurtful things are said as jokes. While I can agree that some relationships last forever, only a few, if any should maintain the same level of influence over you. God Bless You!

Words kill, words give life; they're either poison or fruit — you choose – Proverbs 18:21[MSG]. I’m sure you know that this verse is talking about you, I want  to believe you do know that your tongue carries the  power of life and death. However, it seems we often forget that this power is not specific to one person, or a few group, it actually resides in every human. Which means that the same way your words can kill or save, so also the words of those you have been listening or paying attention to.
If you worship in a good Bible living and believing church like that one God has blessed me with, you will notice that you leave the church feeling good, feeling better than you came in. You would feel like your psychological battery has just been recharged, moving from 2 bars to like 4-5bars. It’s the effect of the words you heard in church, especially through the message, it has given you life.
Therefore, since songs are also composed with words, then you can see every song as capsules containing life or death. One of the reasons I think music is even quite effective, is the fact that when you sing along, you do not just hear the words of someone else, you also re-enforce it by  adding the power in your own tongue to it. Even though I can’t tell you what and what not to listen to, I can only advise that you ensure loading yourself with poison. Words are powerful, so while you mind what you say, you should also mind what you hear. God Bless You!
