The best way to help a person who has been in a completely dark room is not to flood the person's eyes with a very bright light, doing that might even harm the person's eyes. It's better to start with a low intensity source of light, then bring in more light as the person's eyes gradually adjust to the brightness.

Likewise, it important we give people the allowance to grow we they give their lives to Christ. As the light of the world, it seems some of us, Christians, just want to go into the darkness and flood eyes of unbelievers with our very bright light.

A baby is born a complete human being, but needs time to learn and practice how to stand erect and walk. Also, when a person gives his/her life to Christ, God immediately turns them from sinners into saints, but we should remember they need time to learn and work out their new life as saints of God.

2 Peter 3:18 - But grow in spiritual strength and become better acquainted with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be all glory and splendid honor, both now and forevermore[TLB].

Therefore, consciously help everyone around you grow. Look out for areas they are doing well and commend them, especially young converts. If a person gets one thing right out of ten, never forget to encourage that one. Find the light in every man, no matter how little, and fan it till it becomes a big fire. God Bless You!

The first phone I saw using a facial recognition system to unlock was one of HTC's really cool smart phones. Back them, while I was still rocking my symbian device, a classmate of mine had it. To unlock the HTC, this guy only needs to smile at the phone, it recognizes his smile and then unlocks. I remember we tried to put the phone to a test, someone else smiled at the phone, but this time it refused to unlock. It didn't matter if the second smile was finer than the original, or if the teeth were whiter, as long as it wasn't the owner's smile, it rejected it.

Today, like every other day, so many people will call on the name Jesus, so many people will "seek" God, so many people will want something from Him, but how many of them will get results?

In the facial recognition system mentioned above, there was nothing wrong with any of the smiles, but until the device is programmed to recognize a smile, it stands rejected. Likewise, accepting Jesus as the Lord of our lives is the ground upon which we call on His name, it is the way our voice gets programmed into the speed dial of heaven, and the path through which we have supernatural insurance.

John 1:12 - But to all who received him, he gave the right to become children of God. All they needed to do was to trust him to save them[TLB].

Therefore, God is waiting on you, He want to configure your voice into heaven's voice recognition system. Get on heaven's speed dial, accept Jesus today. God Bless You!

"However, Christ has given each of us special abilities—whatever he wants us to have out of his rich storehouse of gifts. The psalmist tells about this, for he says that when Christ returned triumphantly to heaven after his resurrection and victory over Satan, he gave generous gifts to men" - Ephesians 4:7-8[TLB].

For those who have been told, or for one reason or the other, believe that they are not gifted, please try as much as you can to go over those verses above again.

You know, it gets to a level where the kind of gift you give becomes a reflection of your value or worth. For example, it would be hard to imagine Queen Elizabeth, or even Bill Gates give you a counterfeit or substandard material as a gift. This is because at that level, the kind of gift they give is not only a reflection of how much they value the recipient of the gift, it also reflects their perception of their own influence.

Therefore, even if we assume that Jesus doesn't place so much value on you, don't you think he'd still give you a God-standard gift for the sake of His name? Hence, now that the Bible has informed us that God loved you so much He gave you His best, don't you think He'd also make sure you get the best of every other gift He has to give you?

Therefore, it is clear that at least, for every child of God, there is a special gift(s) God has placed within you. So even you don't know what it is, believe it because God cannot lie, and ask that His Spirit would reveal them to you. God Bless You!

Do you agree that Jesus could have asked His disciples to go and wait individually for the promised Holy Spirit after He had ascended to heaven. But no, He told them to wait in Jerusalem together.

Even though Jesus is the Son of God, you'd notice that He regular went to the synagogue. It didn't matter if it was one of the Pharisees teaching, He went, listened and asked questions.

I was watching some guys talk about ocean diving the other day and they mentioned that one of the rules they never fail to apply while diving is called the "buddy" rule. Basically, this rule implies that each diver must be connected to a buddy, another diver within his view and all the people diving together are connected by the same cord.

Likewise, Jesus is the common cord that connects every Christian, and it is very important that you have a group of "buddies" that you are diving into the life of faith with.

While it is true that there are so many alternative channels of hearing the word without having to go to church, I really don't think any of those channels can completely replace the experience you have when you attend a good church.

Hebrews 10:25 - You should not stay away from the church meetings, as some are doing, but you should meet together and encourage each other. Do this even more as you see the day coming[NCV].

Therefore, find a church that speaks to you and be a committed "buddy". God Bless You!

If you ever played Temple Run, Super Mario, Car racing, or any other game similar to these, then you will know that winning, or getting the highest score is not only about completing the race or getting to the finish line, you must also be careful enough to pick up most of the extra goodies that you'd see while running, and avoid the obstacles or pitfalls on the way.

Hence, it is safe to say that our lives as Christians can be likened to Temple Run or any of those other games, but in our case we are not being chased, but we are the ones chasing something. While heaven is our grand prize and ultimate goal, getting the highest scores there has a lot to do with how well we pick up on the goodies God has placed on our path here on earth.

3 John 2 says - My beloved friend, I pray that everything is going well for you and that your body is as healthy as your soul is prosperous[VOICE].

The message in this verse can be divided into three parts. The prosperity of soul deals with you making heaven, but you can see God wants you to live long enough here on earth since He wants you to be healthy. Then everything going well for you means God wants you to live a fulfilled and satisfying life.

Therefore, while you look forward to heaven, please lookout on earth, because what you do here and how you do it will determine your "high score" at the end of this race. God Bless You!
