Let me tell you why it is best you allow God work through you and the gifts He has given you. Ordinarily, the fact that a country like Nigeria is abundantly blessed with a natural resource like crude oil should have translated into wealth for almost all her citizens, but we all know that is not the case. One of the reasons why crude oil doesn't seem to be generating as much wealth as it should is the fact that we do not refine most of our crude oil here, we export it and then buy the byproducts of crude oil with the money we made selling the crude, penny wise pound foolish, right?
Likewise, a man can attain some level of success without God, but I doubt that it's possible for anyone to have all round success outside of God. You hear about successful people and stars getting involved in drugs and the likes, some of which eventually ruins their career, it's because they are trying to obtain a satisfaction that just being successful cannot give, and they spend their fortune on that which can not satisfy.
When I say you should let God refine you, think about it like God is building a refinery in your life. Such that the way a crude oil refinery generates more value out of ordinary crude oil, God equally generates more value out of your gifts and talents, so that you can both attain and maintain success no matter the odds, like Daniel or Joseph in the Bible.
Isaiah 55:2 says - Why spend your money on something that is not real food? Why work for something that doesn’t really satisfy you? Listen closely to me, and you will eat what is good; your soul will enjoy the rich food that satisfies[NCV]. I don't know what a successfully satisfying life means to you, but I know God can blow your mind with it, all He needs is your cooperation. God Bless You!
