News flash!!! God will not be giving you money, period! So, after sending out yesterday's Pill, I started thinking about Solomon again and and how God could have blessed him that much. Many times, when we make reference to him, the emphasis is usually on his wealth, but have you ever stopped to wonder the means through which that wealth came about? Is it possible that God just loaded him up with a lot of cash such that he could afford whatever he wanted? I believe God did load Solomon up with excess cash, but since we are not told how God did it, let's look at another man the Bible explained how God blessed him - Jacob.
After working for Laban for over 14yrs, with 2 wives and X number of Children, Jacob felt it was time to go and set up his own company. It was obvious God's blessing was upon his life because Laban's business had boomed under Jacob's watch, but it was time to go, and his boss had cheated him enough to know the man won't give him any serious severance package, hence, God gave him an IDEA. The idea didn't appear economically smart at the time, but i know you are familiar with the story, you know the wealth inflow it brought into Jacob's life. Deuteronomy 8:18 says - You shall remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day[ESV].
Therefore, we can infer that God must have created Solomon's wealth using a method similar to that of Jacob. There is no way you can become the richest person in your state by someone giving you cash, let alone becoming the wealthiest in the country. Hence, if God has been giving you more of ideas than cash, then count yourself to be one of the lucky ones because money doesn't really run the world, it's the ideas that makes the money that does. GOD Bless You!
